French movie directed by Eric-Emmanuel Schmidt; with Catherine Frot, Albert Dupontel, Jacques Weber, Fabrice Murgia, Nina Drecq,…
It’s the story of Odette, a widow who is raising her two children (one crazy girl Sue Ellen and a gay Rudy <– so sweet <33). She could have committed suicide many times if she had’nt discoevred the books of Balthazar Balsan. Ever since she is a fan and happy (her behaviour is so funny : singing all the time and imagining stories…). When she finally can meet him all she wants is to make him happier as he does to her with his books.
This movie was adorable ! Catherine Frot is one of the most talented and accurate and pleasent french actress i know ! Personnally i’m never disappointed in her acting and it’s the same there. She personalized Odette Toulemonde (= Odette Everybody = game word) perfectly. It’s adapted from a book which i haven’t read so can’t tell if it’s a good adapatation or not.
This movie makes you laugh and smile and happy and cry.. The perfectness of French Movie ! Wish there could be more of movies like that !
